HIGH JACK THE DINNER JACKET

PAUL SMITH IS STILL TURNING OUT THE FRESHEST  SPORT COATS IN THE BUSINESS
Take the hats off these guys and they both are rocking rad transitional options from the bar to the ball.

A lot of guys get real specific with how they think they can wear a jacket. They either wear it formal with slacks and dress shoes - maybe even a tie or they get really sassy and wear one with jeans and a t-shirt a la Don Johnson. I applaud the jeans and T-shirt effort as someone who feels that how you look in the evening should differ from your day wear. Putting on a sport coat definitely says - "I'm going out tonight". I don't however think that the miami vice thing is particularly fresh anymore. So what's a boy to do?

Paul Smith offers continually cooler versions of the dinner jacket season after season even branching out to the waistcoat in his Autumn Winter collection. His looks can be worn in a variety of ways layered with sweatshirts and henleys, paired with crisp black levi's or added to any formal look for an extra dash of personality. Forget those stupid blazers with graphic prints on the back - hate isn't a strong enough word for those Ed Hardyesque mistakes. Smith's twist on the dinner jacket is just smart clever design - no gimmicks and no glitter. Some of my faves are below and check out all this menswear god has to offer HERE or you can head out to Santa Monica to the Pink Palace pictured below for one of my favorite shopping experiences in California.
