This kickstarter project I saw today really moved me. Having spent significant time in war torn countries (I lived in Nicaragua for 2 years), I know how long and difficult the recovery for a country is after an attack. The more impoverished the country, the longer it takes. Laos being one of the most poor places in the world has suffered many many attacks over the years making it the most bombed country in history. Watch the video below to learn how one man's resourcefulness is helping his village earn income to help change their lives. This is NOT a non-profit. This is a business for the people of Laos and as such allows them freedom to apply the money toward their own well being. The film was made by some american social justice minded young people who are making a film to draw attention to the incredible drive and strength of the people of Laos.
