THERE ARE NO PHONIES AT CAULFIELD PREPARATORY...

DESIGNER VINCENT FLUMIANI TAKES MENSWEAR ON A LITERARY FASHION JOURNEY

I read and write a lot. Over the years certain tales have consumed me, taking me out for the count for days and even weeks. Other novels have left me bored and disinterested, adding to my dust filled pile of half finished books on my night stand. There is something distinct and important however, about the first book a man reads that actually means something. That book for me was The Catcher in The Rye. I had read stories and interesting assigned reading prior to picking up Salinger's masterpiece, but nothing until then had captured my mood, feelings and desire to tell my own story quite like Rye did.

It should come as no surprise then, that when I found Caulfield Preparatory in the inventory of one of my favorite Online shops Revolution Clothing (HERE), I was immediately drawn and shortly there after obsessed.

Caulfield Preparatory is a brand that bases its style and design on a world written and created around a character called Finnegan who in a Salinger inspired daze stumbles through life, adventure after adventure and impeccably dressed of course. Finnegan's style has developed naturally as he sails the seven seas, road trips from LA- to NY and even winds up traversing a mysterious desert. The clothes are timeless, cool, fitted and a bit funny. They speak a certain guardedness that only it's inspiration could tell equally, and yet still offer a comfort and quality that makes one feel like they've had these pieces in their closet for years. I would literally wear everything in their catalogue. I'm into it, and I hope you are too. Check out their site HERE
