DIRTY POP!

MICHAEL BASTIAN DIRTIES UP HIS TRADITIONAL TRAPPINGS WITH SOME VIBRANT COLOR POPS!

I’ m a fan of laying low, don’ t get me wrong. There is nothing better than falling under the radar at a swank Sacramento event and watching from a distance as the local try-too-hards desperately scratch to be noticed in the weekly one-up-athon that is Sac-pseudo-society. Oops, looks like I’ ve used up my hyphen quota for this post! Moving on…

Every once in a while it is nice after all to be the bell or beau of the ball. While a woman can throw on a show stopper vintage gown and a pair of man-eater stilettos, the man with a verve to stand out – bears a bit more challenging task.

Watching Michael Bastian’ s Spring 2011 collection and even looking back on Fall, it seams that the Gant professional seems to have just the right potion to make a man Pop with out later imploding from the embarrassment of his own self-indulgence. The key ingredient? COLOR. Subtle, eye catching, color. You can buy his beautiful clothing online HERE, but don’ t forget that these cool looks can be done at a fraction of the cost. Find a colored belt at American Apparel, a bright scarf at Macy’ s or Nordstrom and lord knows target has loads of colored socks. These are not pieces that have to be expensive, so long as the overall look they are attached to are quality and have integrity. Have a little fun this season. Go ahead – Pop.
