The vest is like an instant style piece. It can add depth to a long tunic blouse or a maxi dress or even a vintage t shirt. Vests can define your look, taking you from tailored and conservative to bohemian/rocker/sophisticated fashion plate.  Try one cropped and in denim to fulfill this season's obsession with the 80s or play on the menswear trend and wear it long and double breasted. I also like the motorcycle vest in leather and buckles, but am equally intrigued by a draped vest made of chiffon and lace.

We saw plenty of the fur vest this past Winter, bountiful and cozy. This Spring, change things up with a lighter, more ethereal fabric. Something that breathes and serves less of a practical purpose and more of a fashion purpose. After all, the vest was never really intended to keep you all that warm. ;) The vest is something you can interchange, too. Wear it with various looks, making each ensemble seem as though it's brand new. Mr. Vest is so versatile, you'll want to wear him everyday. I promise.

I shop here often, especially when I'm looking for something that might be a bit harder to find. Less traffic, means less chance that it will be out of stock. Uh oh, I may have just ruined a good thing.

ALLSAINTS SPITAFIELDS (http://www.us.allsaints.com/) : sigh, I'm giving away so much right now. Another fabulous and usually discounted website. Most everything you will find at ALLSAINTS is designer and marked down to prices that could lead even the biggest skeptic into temptation's comfy bed. Serves both genders and has a luxury basics department to beat the band. Check it.

NET-A-PORTER (http://www.net-a-porter.com/) : a women's online boutique that carries everything, high and low, from Splendid to Yves Saint Laurent. Oh, and everything comes so elegantly wrapped, you'll almost not want to open the package. This site is versatile and delicious. Take a bite.
