'CAUSE THEY'RE SO PRETTY
No big surprise here, stripes stomped down the runways again this season only this time with a certain je ne sais quois unseen in stripe trends of seasons past. Thicker, further apart and with a sort of Dick Tracy vibe, stripes are making their way onto women's suiting, skirts and even the soles of our shoes.

RAG AND BONE FALL 2011 STRIPED SUIT |
Try the stripe in a horizontal pattern as displayed on
Rag and Bone's runway via a wool kilt. Horizontal stripes are oh so flattering on a wrap skirt. Forget about the fashion tales of girth gone bad. Stripes
can be your best friend.
My all-time favorite look this season is the high-waisted, striped skirt. Try it in various patterns, sideways, vertically, criss-cross, doesn't matter, it's haute.

BCBG SKIRT, $158 BUY HERE |
Shoes, jewelry, accessories aren't left out of this striped resurgence. They are making their way to the streets and displaying all sorts of color combinations. Try plum with light pink and pops of red. Tres chic. Bangles that represent the color wheel and with a sort of
United Colors of Benetton feel. Pile them on and show your true colors.

Stripes add a certain flair to an otherwise simple look and can create any myriad of looks you might be feeling at that moment. Ready to set sail? Suit up in this season's nautical stripe. Not quite your style? Tone it down with a striped tshirt and leather leggings.
