2ETN:

A COLLABORATION OF SPIRITUAL, HIGH-FASHION FANTASY.

2ETN FOUNDERS, PAMELA TUOHY-NOVINSKY & EDWARD THOMAS NOVINSKY
A mutual friend introduced us via Facebook. Her pictures told a story, which we discussed finally in person over a Scotch on the rocks and some Rombauer filled to the brim at the Grange in downtown Sacramento. Facebook has a way of bringing to light people and personalities and passions and well, common ground, like no other social network. It is through Facebook that Pamela Tuohy-Novinsky and I first met. I ping'd her, asking her out on a drink date to "get to know one another better." Okay, that sounds stranger than it actually was... but I digress. I invited my brother and our mutual friend, as well. We all sat down to drinks and immediately fell into, well, a deep friendship. One that seemed stemmed from years and years of familiarity. Perhaps in another life? We had a kindred aesthetic that gelled and desperately needed to collaborate. So, here we are... working on a photo shoot project together and fostering what will surely be a beautiful friendship and an ongoing fashion agenda.

Now, on to what could possibly be the coolest discovery yet for sister|brother2ETN, Pam's jewelry line.  I am ashamed (and I don't use that term lightly) that I had not heard of Pam's jewelry line until November of last year. After discovering we had mutual friends, I popped on her website and discovered pieces so perfect, so glamorous and yet mod-goth and so very, very ME, I could hardly stand it. This jewelry is unlike anything Sacramento, or the rest of the world, has ever seen. Why on earth is it not being sold here in town? The answer I've realized these last few months... Sacramento isn't ready for it. Correction: Sacramento thinks it isn't ready for it. I would like to change that. If we're not ready for this avant garde, high-fashion collection of bauble fantastic, then I don't want to live here anymore. Period.

THE PIECE PAM WORE THE NIGHT WE MET HER. FANTASTIC.
Pam and her uber talented artist/husband, Edward Thomas Novinsky, collaborated in creating this line. Ed handpaints literally every piece and Pam is the creative mind behind the overall designs themselves. The line's name, 2ETN, is the combination of the phonetic pronunciation of Pam's last name (2E) and her husband's initials (ETN). I mean, how cool is that? Their philosophy is simple and beautiful and one with the universe and I quote, "Nature always gets it right: color, structure, and function. We believe that our individual stories give us the foundation upon which we grow." Amen. On top of their intrinsic spiritual undertaking, Pam and Ed have decided to give a percentage of all of their sales to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation's Adopt a Buffalo Campaign. Double Amen.

Their work has become a family affair as they have joined forces with Pam's beautiful daughter, Harlee. She has the look and has been featured in several campaigns. Gorgeous and exuding her mother's confidence, she impressed me at first meeting. It is glaringly obvious that this family is on to something and we all should be joining in. Sure, 2ETN's price point might be a tad on the high-end side of your pocket book, but it's well worth it. We get what we pay for, folks. Expect big things. Very big things from this line in the near future. Hell, they've already been featured in magazines like Nylon, W & Elle. Did I mention these people live in Sacramento?! Again, embarassing.

Check these beautiful creations out and tell me your thoughts. This is not a jewelry line for the meek or the conservative, but it certainly sings to the edgy fashionista who is soul searching for that perfect signature piece that screams BRAVO! Or, like me, one who desires to wear it all at the same time. No matter what your penchant, help us bring 2ETN's beautiful pieces to the glass cases of the city it belongs to, Sacramento.
