MIND THE GAP:

LONDON IS CALLING.

New York has come and gone and it was fantastic. The Brits are ready to turn things out now. We are ready to see what designers are offering us this week. Nothing tells a story of fashion like the people walking the streets of a given city. London is a place that does not discriminate. Any style, any designer, any look has been done and has been walked. London is an international microcosm of fashion fabulosity and we better recognize. Here are some of my fave looks from the week...

PETER PILOTTO FALL 2011
LONG MAXI SKIRTS AND SCARVES TIED HIGH ON THE NECK WITH TUXEDO JACKETS WITH TRAINS SO LONG THEY HIT THE FLOOR. AMAZING.

HOLLY FULTON FALL 2011
YELLOW AND SO PLAYFUL.

BASSO AND BURKE FALL 2011
ON A BRISK LONDON DAY, THIS HOODED DRESS WOULD BE A GOD SEND.

DAVID KOMA FALL 2011
NEON YELLOW NECK MUFF WITH A FUTURISTIC PRINT IS SO 2011.
LES CHIFFONIERS FALL 2011
THESE BOOTS, THIS DRESS, THE PROPORTIONS. EVERYTHING IS PERFECT.

Here are some shots from this week's street styles as featured on Harper's BAZAAR. Because we all know that runways take inspiration from those people walking the streets. We Yanks could take a cue or two from the Brits across the pond.

LOVE THE GINORMOUS SCARF WITH FRINGE AND THE SOREL BOOTIES.

A LONG LEATHER TRENCH WITH A MINI SKIRT. SO MOD AND SO COOL.

A TRENCH CAPE WITH ROLLED JEANS AND SOME KICK ASS BIKER BOOTS.

COBALT BLUE PALAZZO PANTS?! AMAZING.
