ACCORDING TO THE BOOK OF SISTER
So, here's the thing, I'm quite vocal about what I like and what I dislike. You can take it or leave it. That being said, New York Fashion Week did not disappoint. I would have to say my favorite show so far (granted, I'm "watching" online and not in person) has been that of Thakoon. I love that they mixed prints and fabrics that wouldn't necessarily seem congruent. Like showcasing a heavy poncho cinched at the waist and layered with embellished ikat leggings and mini skirts with tights. Of course, I was happy with most that I saw from all of the designers, truth be told. Below are my favorite looks from the week.
CAROLINA HERRERA FALL 2011 BLACK TIERED BOMBSHELL DRESS. AGELESS AND PERFECT. |
ALEXANDER WANG FALL 2011 ALWAYS ONE OF MY FAVORITE DESIGNERS, WANG TOOK IT HOME WITH TUXEDO BLOUSES AND HAREM PANTS. |
ALTUZARRA FALL 2011 I LOVE THAT THIS IS BASICALLY ALL WHITE, BUT WITH SOME BLING. THE FUR CUFF AROUND THE ANKLE IS PRETTY AMAZING, TOO. |

DEREK LAM FALL 2011 NOTICE THE SHEER TOP AND FULL MAXI SKIRT. THIS LOOK IS NEUTRAL AND YET EDGY. |
DKNY FALL 2011 LOVE THIS LOOK FROM HEAD TO TOE. TURTLE NECK, FUR/LEOPARD JACKET AND SOCKS WITH BOOTIES. |
DIANE VON FURSTENBERG FALL 2011 A PLAY ON HER TRADITIONAL WRAP DRESS. SEXY OPEN NECK COLLAR WITH LEATHER BELT THIS DRESS IS SO HOT. |
JASON WU FALL 2011 LADY IN RED. PERIOD. |
PRABAL GURUNG FALL 2011 LONG AND PLAYFUL AND FULL OF FEMININE GLORY. THIS LOOK IS DIVINE. |
RAG AND BONE FALL 2011 IS THAT A KILT WITH FRINGE? IT IS AND I WANT. |
