AND I SAY, YELLOW IT'S ALL RIGHT.
Obsessed. I am. I love yellow so when designers started breaking this color through their Fall and Winter collections this year, I was so very happy. It's a color we normally celebrate in the warmer months, but why can't we throw in a yellow cashmere sweater or a shiny yellow sequin skirt this Winter? Hmmm? Yellow brings a stylistic edge and some much anticipated joie de vivre to your otherwise bundled, dark Winter appearance. If you're an olive-skinned beauty, yellow is your friend and surely any derivative of this happy color will work. If you're more of a porcelain or yellow-based skin type, try an incandescent yellow color as shown on Balenciaga Fall 2010 runway. This will help you look less, well, pale.

MARC JACOBS FALL 2010 ADD A POP OF YELLOW IN YOUR BAG. |
Rather than do a true yellow, stick to a more mustard-green or a paler version of the color. That will make it current. If you want and are feeling especially brave, you can try yellow in a neon. Again, a darker complexion does better with bolder variations of this color. Not everyone has the fashion bravado of Mz. Thang, Rhianna.

Yellow, is it me you're looking for? Sorry, I really couldn't help myself. Have fun with this one, ladies and gents.

I love Yellow and I'm so glad it's getting it's say this season! I get so dreary with all the neutral and earth tones in Fall and Winter, so I love that I can incorporate a little sunshine into my wardrobe.
ReplyDeleteI really, really adore that pop of Yellow with that Marc Jacobs suit. So fabulous.
