STYLING DONE RIGHT...

Rope belt paired with pleated slacks.

GREAT EDITORIAL CAMPAIGNS TELL A STORY
 WITHOUT FORGETTING THE POINT.

As a stylist I am constantly inspired by the truly great editorial work found in today's top magazines and websites. The following series featuring model Brandon Wilson as Charlie Chaplin was photographed by the amazing Stefan Gifthaler in a way that was truly impressive from a styling perspective.  The imagery takes real and current fashion and creates a story and character that both allows the viewer to suspend reality while offering true to life options on how to wear these styles in one's day to day. These are fantastic pics that are styled impeccably. I for one am teaming with ideas, have a look and take some cues for yourself.

This shoot includes pieces by Vivienne Westwood, Alexis Mabille, Giorgio Armani, Alexander McQueen, Etro, Pringle of Scotland, Comme des Garcons, Memine, Levi's, Dolce & Gabbana, Galliano, Louis Vuitton, Kris Van Assche, American Apparel, Neil Barret and GF Ferre'. Note how incredibly different all of these brands are - fashion is about high and low, mix and match - and this is a great example of both.

Two button twead blazer over monochromatic pants and shirt give a tailored and effortless look.

Chunky suspenders give a nod to your grandpa while looking ultra modern at the same time

To take a formal look from day to night, go a bit more slouchy with the trouser and add a work boot.

A bright hanky shoved in a pocket adds fun without too much work.

Floating mid air is always a hit at parties

The high collar dress shirt is on it's way back in a BIG way. Thank Boardwalk Empire for that.

Picture frames are the pefect winter accessory. That and colored oxfords - try a pair in cordovan.

Eastern collared henleys offer a simple alternative to the traditional white oxford.

A flower in the pocket. So old school so cool.
